  1. Look for a company who’s been in business for a while. Finding someone who is reputable, who has done dozens, if not hundreds, of jobs completed in your area, is key to a smooth project. If you hire a newbie, expect multiple issues without experience to problem solve effectively.
  2. Choose a local company. After a storm hits, you’ll see many out-of-state companies roaming into the area and setting up shop. They’re here today and gone tomorrow. Go with someone local who keeps North Dakota money in North Dakota.
  3. Make sure the contractor is licensed and insured. Who’s going to pay medical bills if someone gets hurt on your property? Who’s going to fix a roof leak 6 months after the job is done? Certainly not you! Ask to see their license and insurance.
